In my room, I delighted in the TV table's carved legs. As my time here was coming to a close, I noted details I want to remember.

I often admire the sky. From the doorway I examind the details of these bricks, soaking in the colors & shapes against blue forever-ness.

There are chiles hanging everywhere in Santa Fe! These bunches can be purchased from vendors in town too.

My last full day in New Mexico was reserved for Los Alamos, one hour north-east of S.Fe.

There are many sights to see! The friendly ladies at the Visitor Center / Chamber of Commerce gave me a walking map too.

Driving into Los Alamos, my first impression was the beauty, cleanliness and curb appeal of this town!

Noted the Native American design on the post office facade. Nice.

There are several plaques, walk-throughs and short films at the museums explaining how/who and why the Manhattan Project came about and about the choice of Los Alamos as a location.

In this building children of the wealthy were housed & well-educated until the early 1940's when it was seized in order to establish a foundation for incoming scientists & engineers during the development of the atom bomb.

A sign explains to visitors the importance of the surrounding land.

This is a recreation of an ancestral pueblo site which sits near a rose garden.

Instruction and information abound in Los Alamos! If you're not sure how to cross a street here, just read the sign. :)

Detail is paid attention to and apparently the residents respect their well-manicured streets, as should everyone.

It's welcoming to walk down streets and see benches. Not "waiting for a bus" benches, just "relax for a minute in the sun" benches. Coolness!

This is in a large building across the street from the Visitor Center.

I loved this place & could have spent more time here. There are 2 auditoriums & 3 large sections for different types of current cutting edge science. There are several reader boards & interactive demos which teach things like nanotech and nuclear fission!

Before flying out, I spent the morning strolling Canyon Road where little galleries line several blocks on both sides of the street in Santa Fe.

A visitor's guide I received months before this trip featured this 4' sculpture on the cover. A woman at the hotel researched for me, saying it was at one of these galleries.

I was determined to walk until I found the gallery and was happy to find the face on my last day in NM.

A wonderful Brittish woman curates this very exclusive little gallery where I was again honored and extremeley pleased to view original pieces by one of my favorite artists- Michael Parkes. Just being in the same room with someone who knows him was delightful!

I took to this sculpture because I like looking up in the sky too. It makes one wonder what she's thinking.

There were a few "mini" sculpture parks along Canyon Road. This one had bright colorful pieces.

I loved New Mexico SO much but still feel like Arizona is "home". I don't live here- yet comfort, relief & peace are always in AZ's air for me.

In and Out Burger...my first experience. It was fun to watch what seemed like 20 youngsters whipping back & forth behind the counter! It was an active environment, the place was packed and the burger/fries were yes, yummy!!

My little nickname for the beautiful home graciously offered for my AZ stay.

I'm limiting interior pics to only this hallway. But the whole house is gorgeous!

I spent the 80-degree night basking under flawless Arizona stars.

Swimming in the pool was very refreshing and ended the long day wonderfully. :)
