I got into the local vegetation. I discovered that I like cactus in the wild.

Despite the overcast day, the views were nonetheless interesting.

An old mining town that was alive, then not, then resurrected.

This view was from atop the hill upon which the main town of Jerome sits. The knickname is "Mile High City".

This beautiful building was once a hospital and quite the state-of-the-art one at the time of its operation (no pun intended). :)

A story was told about this hotel on a TV program investigating haunted locations. The desk clerk explained his experiences here. Not until after I told him the space in front of room 112 felt "heavy" did he tell me the story...

The victim of foul play or merely an accident? The mystery was never solved. Claude Harvey's body is outlined in white on the boiler room side of this 200 year old elevator shaft. It turns out room 112 where I sensed heaviness, used to be Claude's room.

One of the main visitor sites, this church is built high up into the rock.

Not until after my trip did I read that this space around the church is also a vortex site. I knew for sure that I felt a sweet Lightness in the atmosphere. It was "feminine". I learned the vortexes are sometimes identified by gender according to the type of Energy they emit.

Imagine living in this home and having the Red Rock Fever view each day!

At an area called Red Rock Crossing is this trail where I began my search for Buddha Beach. The map wasn't enough help at the time...but NOW I know exactly where it is.

If rocks of various sizes, shapes and colors can coexist this way...then can we?

I enjoyed walking along the watery banks. I was aware of signs on some roads and trailheads that warn of flash floods which occurr when sudden rains wash over rocky/sandy beds that have been otherwise sun-baked for months.

The friendly couple I was hiking with took a few pictures of me. Not my best look, but hey...hiking isn't for glamour. :)
