This beach at Halfmoon Cove in Westport belonged to the towers.
Another Look-Out Tower
September 23, 2006 was a good day to drive out to Westport. But the beach was desolate.

I imagined what the view would be from up there. Probably really cool!
Stringy Seaweed
I didn't notice many sea shells but I was interested by the seaweed. Since it's an inlet, all of the other beach goodies were elsewhere.
Criss Cross Wave
The tide waters came from two directions and created this "X" formation which is rare to see.
Sideways
It was cool to watch the tide moving in unique patterns along the shore.
Half Moon Cove Sunset
I was fortunate to be here during my favorite part of any sunny afternoon...sunset.

The sand here is stony. Little rivers wound their way through it like watery freeways.

I see Art in Nature. I love the bold silouetted hills against the ice blue water and peach ethers.
In the Water
To be honest I don't know what this is...maybe an old oil rig? I kept thinking how funny it was out there in the water.
Crisp Freedom
I watched the sun dip below the ocean horizon and shot this photo at the perfect moment, when the sky fades orange to blue.

Shortly before departing Westport, I took one last shot at the fading eastern light. The color was a calming, pretty lavendar
